Private Practice: Psychotherapy services for adults, adolescents & families. (Conducted clinical practice 30+ years throughout career in various settings)

Addiction Program development, designed or conducted organizational development : Khepera House, Ventura, CA 2004-present, Ventura School District , 2007. Casa Pacifica , Camarillo, CA 2006-present

The Canyon , Director in Malibu, CA (2004). Performance: Successfully established and got licensed a high-end for profit addiction treatment facility. Hired medical (MDs, RNs, DC, etc) and clinical personnel (PhDs, MFTs, CACs, etc) team, designed treatment services, conducted psychotherapy, supervision & team facilitation.

Senior Administrator of Treatment: Ventura County Alcohol & Drug Programs. (ADP) Ventura County Behavior Health, Ventura , CA (2001-2004)

Performance: Developed evidence-based clinical practices throughout division, created a 6-TX Zone model for integrating Mental Health, Domestic Violence and other co-occurring services into ADP. Designed and implemented management practices that greatly improved morale, cost reimbursement, regulation compliance, training and productivity. Conducted successful public relations, clinical and managerial best practices.

Responsibilities: Oversee the Clinical & Management Operations of the ADP Treatment Division, which includes directly three full service AOD/OP Sites, a Prenatal AOD Program, Drug Court: Adult & Adolescent, Detox Services, Crisis Team AOD responses, inpatient AOD/JJ Program and numerous Countywide Contracted Services.

Director of Adult Residential Services / Vice President/Senior Mgt. The Gandara Center, Springfield, MA. A minority non-profit addictions & mental health agency. (1998 – 2000)

Performance: Trained, mentored, and led 70 employees toward service excellence. Improved staff morale, funding (million+) and contracts. Decreased staff and client turnover, union complaints, and costs.

Responsibilities: Operated several million dollar budget, overseeing all administrative & clinical aspects of four addiction programs, two mental health programs, four programs for developmental disabilities, and a social club. Proposal writing, division growth, budgeting, regulation compliance, contract management, treatment philosophy, public relations, program design & development, union negotiations, personnel recruitment, training, supervision, internship development.

Program Director at Community Enterprises, Northampton, MA.

A non-profit mental health agency. (1988 –1998)

Performance: Developed the first regional consumer-driven community for people with psychiatric disabilities. Organized several consumer-run business & consumer training groups for colleges & professionals. TV, radio shows, newspaper & other public awareness appearances.

Responsibilities: Oversight of community living, clinical & substance abuse services; development and supervision of staff and support programs, proposals and contract writing; contractual compliance; budget maintenance; accreditation, team leadership, and community education.

Executive and Clinical Director: Hope House, Anaheim, California

A residential and outpatient substance abuse rehabilitation program. (1982-1988)

Performance: Oversight of budget and all operations. Obtained funding through extensive community/government relations’ activities. Viewed as a model program by the Bush for president campaign (1988). Developed & Designed program along with a 500-page manual for program, treatment, and operations. Developed a Dual Diagnosis (DDX) integrated service model in 1982.

Responsibilities: Designed and developed program, responsible for implementation and supervision of all aspects of the agency: fund raising, public relations and administration. Trained and supervised clinical staff and support personnel in model I developed.
